Hi Audrey
Sorry your feeling so rubbish at the moment. Can totally sympathise with you re; constant pain etc, its good that you've got your appt a bit sooner and I really hope they get you on the right treatment, it really is a waiting game, with no rules as we are all different when it comes to medication!
Keep topped up with painkillers and rest as much as you can, hope things improve for you soon.
Take care

Hi Audrey,

So sorry your pain is not being controlled but pleased NRAS were able to help. Just wondering whether you have tried Butron patches? They're not for long term, but could help tide you over until you see your consultant. Are they also reluctant to give you a steroid jab?
Take care xxxxx

Hi Audrey

So sorry you are in so much pain at the moment. I know TENS machines are for muscular pain but sometimes they ease other kinds of pains as well. It is worth a try. I hope you are feeling better soon.

Audrey

I am sorry to hear you are suffering so much. All I can suggest is that you keep to the maximum amount of pain killers that you can take and rest as much as possible. I did try an TENS machine when I was first diagnosed and the pain was unbearable. It did help but I think maybe this was because it was something to focus on rather than the pain.

I hope you can get some relief soon.

Take care

Jackie

Hi Audrey

I am so sorry that you are feeling so rough at the moment and hope that they will be able to sort you out something at your appointment. Make sure you keep taking the pain killers regularly because they can then build up a threshold of pain relief. I do find the wheat bags helpful and have also used splints on my hands when they are really painful.

Hoping you soon feel better

Best Wishes

Sue
